Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Secret Sandwich
Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce, a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down. The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa! Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

Scot Shumski doesn't live in Burlington any more. I'm not sure about Scott Schumsky, though.

Just so you know, I haven't voted yet. I don't want anyone thinking that I'm the one who voted for Monte. I'm waiting for the debate before I cast my vote.

A better poll question would be: how many people know who all these people are?

I haven't voted yet either. I'm curious to see who is the most popular on this insane list. As of now it's a tie beteen Monte, Knodell and Chris Fells who wrote himself in. You can be sure I'm going to overuse the hell out of this pollhost thing. What a good idea. I should have thought of it.

I wanted to put up a poll, but I couldn't decide what to do one about. I never thought about doing an insanely ridiculous poll! Go Haik!

Headline: Monte's popularity drops an incredible 92% in one day!

Here's my campaign platform. Vote for me and I will turn the Moran plant into a huge wind turbine. Next week, hear Amy's plans for raising troops to take back South Burlington . . .

"Montroll revealed that besides McNeil, the city has another, lessor known generator down by the Moran Plant made of jet engines. Now that’s some Batman Sh*t."
-From 'Dems Field Qs on 17' below.

I'm in favor of a wind turbine on the waterfront. There is a guy with a blog against them claiming noise, health, safety concerns. I find the concerns hard to buy. Windmill turbines seem so placid and graceful to me, and energy independence would be a critcally important defense for the city in a major blackout. Perhaps I'm just willfully naive about the drawbacks of wind turbines. But then I have to think of the alternatives. Nothing is perfect. Certainly not oil.

I'm not in favor of the city raising troops, nor of annexing South Burlington. Either action might affect the city's charactar negatively.

    Points for making the pitch.

(Note about this poll: I think it will let you vote multiple times, and perhaps as often as once per hour. I don't care if people take advantage of this for their own craven purposes. (I mean, my counter is by Diebold for cryin' out loud.) Obviously Jane Knodell has figured this out. She currently leads with a 24% plurality. I'm can't vote in this fake crackpot poll. I'm Dr. Frankinstein and Mr. Hyde on this instead.)

Oh. TJ Donavan pulls ahead! I think I'll wait until 50 votes are cast and call the poll over then.

Donavan leads at half-time with 5 votes (20%)

Sure wish I'd read these comments before voting!! I voted for Jane Sanders because she had a great idea, parking-wise, in the event the Moran Plant were re-cycled.

I don't really know many of the 'candidates'. Those I know and would never vote for include Mike Monte, Jane Knodell, Elie Blais(sorry'bout that),Steve Goodkind, TJDonovan.

Those I know by name only have no track record I know of, such as being corrupt, incompetent, or infected with croneyism, and the rest, I'm sorry to admit, I may never have heard of ;-).

But then, you may already have known that ;-))

Well it's Thursday afternoon (Happy 4/20). Three leaders seem to be emerging in our fake crazy poll. Knodell for the Progs, Osier for the Republicans and Donavan for the Dems. Only 15 more votes until I call a fake winner! Get yours in!

Friday 6:55pm- Fred Osier almost has a mathematical lock on winning the fake crackpot polling. One more vote for anyone but Knodell or Donovan and Osier fake-wins!!

Finally, the Burlington Republicans are vindicated!

Fred Osier is our new fake mayor. City employees, hope you like the color pink. (No, sorry - I don't mean pink uniforms!)
