Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Secret Sandwich
Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce, a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down. The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa! Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

Tarrant to go "Nuclear Negative"
Thursday, August 17, 2006
This election is like no other in the history of the state. Richard Tarrant has no financial ceiling and no ethical floor. Let me tell you something. Remember all that hullabaloo about “vermontsenaterace.com” and how it turned out to be a shrill for the Tarrant campaign? Well that was the fake blog we were meant to find out about. The decoy. The ringer. Politics Vermont is the real fake blog. The more astute among you may be starting to see this.

Also, Tarrant paid to have a pie thrown in his face on purpose. He paid to have his own signs vandalized on purpose. He’s paying people right now to steal Bernie signs as soon as they go up. He is clever, clever, clever and ruthless, ruthless, ruthless. He will lie about Bernie’s record. He will take things out of context. He will parse his words precisely to mislead and deceive. He will use cheap tricks like altering his opponent’s physical image. He’s thinking ten steps ahead, and he don’t take prisoners.

And very soon he is going to drag this thing into the mud and bring Vermont politics lower than we ever thought it could go. And he understands there will be a backlash, but he’s planned ahead on how to address that when it comes, too. He’s calculated it out. Get ready for scorched earth.

And here is how we fight: go here and get an American made “Support our Troops” car magnet. I just ordered one myself. Put it near the Bernie bumper sticker on your car. The yellow ribbon magnet no longer implies support for the war or Bush’s foreign policy. More and more it means what it says, and nobody supports veterans or the troops more than Bernie, or you. This is one concrete thing we can do as Bernie supporters to inoculate our campaign against what Tarrant’s about to do.

And remember, there’s no such thing as an impartial blog, especially one whose proprietors hide behind pseudonyms. Stay alert.

Oh I forgot- Tarrant also planted that fake story about IDX being the #1 VT employer, then issued the fake "correction" by incorrectly naming it #2.

Basically he has no problem lying and he has seeks to manipulate media, imagery, language- to confound his lies with legitimacy.

And just because he thinks you're that stupid, he has his own private joke about shoving his cock in peoples faces, that he thinks we don't get.

There's one thing that everybody is missing about Tarrant. His "rags to riches" story is a fake. He got rich because he married into money. He married Amy Larkin, which is how he got the money for his real estate and his company. Of course, after 30 years of marriage, Amy divorced Richie because Richie was committing adultery.

Rich got rich because of Amy.

And you're right on with the Politics Vermont suspicion.

What was it about Bernie's record that was a lie? I don't usually see the Tarrant commercials because I do not watch TV when they are on, so I must have missed it.

Now Tarrant is having a guy dressed as a chicken to try to say that Bernie isn't as manly as Tarrant, who is a rooster. The chicken metaphor is part of a very sophisticated effort to suggest that Bernie is weak (chicken) on terrorism.

Tarrant is using extremely sophisiticated and expensive media techniques. The rooster/chicken thing has been planned for a very long time.

Sanders and Tarrant scuffle over Amber Alert vote

Sanders accused Tarrant of taking his votes out of context saying that there were many reasons he voted against the crime bill. The primary reason being was that Sanders opposed federal sentencing guidelines.

Here (in bold) the Tarrant campaign tries to make Bernie look soft on crime, in the false context of supposedly explaining "Bernie's side of the story." Clever.

Tarrant stated that he couldn't understand why someone would vote against the Crime Bill when it contained the Amber Alert program. If you do not know what the program is this:

"Gee why would anyone vote against the Amber Alert?" becomes "Gee, Tarrant's a swell 'Father Protector.' I guess we can assume Tarrant would vote for the bill even if there was a defense cut attached to it?

When a child goes missing, local authorities will alert the public on the highways using digital highway signs that light up, give a description of the missing child and provide contact information.

Oh- yeah. And there's no "scuffle." That word in the title was carefully chosen by the Tarrant people to induce a certain image in the mind of the reader. Like one man about as strong as another. Like they are somehow equally matched. Like this is a great battle of ideas.

This is not a great battle of ideas. This is Tarrant pouring over Bernie's record to find any vote on a bill that goes the wrong way on one of many included specific provisions, that happens relate to something emotionally evocative to the most people.

Pure focus group tested stuff. This and the Terrorism crap. Like we're supposed to believe this guy acquired any counter-terrorism acumen pushing his crappy DOS-based software for twenty years.

Luckily for the Rich Dick, he has his echo chamber at PolVT to help his kindle message and a record as a public official that can fit between these brackets: []
