Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

Tarrant Sucks Blood (From Red Cross)

"Four days before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, lDX Systems Corp. canceled a scheduled Red Cross blood drawing at its South Burlington headquarters. Why?"
I am proud that I\'ve given blood to the Red Cross.
I am astonished that Rich Tarrant made it harder for his employees to likewise give blood. I don\\\'t think that Tarrant understands how healthcare works in this country. He only understands how to make money from hospitals.
So, Tarrant effectively voted against the Red Cross, AND he prevented his employees from giving blood. It sure seems like this situation is a bigger deal than that Amber Alert thing.
He does. It's the tenth one down on the list of "people who use their real names" (under the picture of Nectar and Koko). Haik helped me get my blogging start. In the early days 99% of my traffic came from here.
In his email message, Tarrant is upset that a non-profit organization like Red Cross is able to charge hospitals more money. Yet, he had no problem personally profitting from those same hospitals.
Re: that Heminway article about ARC blood mentions VT hospitals banding together to establish "a collection network of their own." This was back in 2001, mind you. It did happen; Vermont Blood Center came to the state and was managed by for-profit HemaCare and it's subsidiary Coral Blood, based in California. (I know, because I applied for a job there as donor recruiter.) VBC claimed it could collect blood cheaper than the ARC and that the blood collected by the center's mobile units stayed in the state and served the 14 hospitals in the consortium. However VBC closed up shop about 2 years after being established in its Williston location. They just were not convincing enough to the established ARC groups to switch.

Wow! Who cancels a Red Cross drive? Just think what Bernie could do with Tarrant-style attack ads on this subject.
