Journalists should be both diligent and responsible in reporting the "truth" about a politician. Sometimes a thorough background check including previous employment activities, criminal arrests and prosecutions is warranted. The journalist need not judge the person as the voters can effectively do this themselves. However, the general public does have a right to know about all relevent information that is associated with a particular candidate. I have the impression that certain facts have not been disseminated and it causes me to ask why? Perhaps a more critical examination of this matter is warranted.
