Well all of my predictions came true, except of course Jane Knodell losing to Dave Rogers in Ward Two. I guess the "wake up call" I predicted Ward Two would send the Progs was hype. I'm a publisher. Sometimes I want things to be more interesting than they are. Dave Rogers ran hard, but at the end of the day Jane is still an asset, and the Progressive machine's old north end juggernaut still reigns.
A word to Tom Licata and Linda Deliduka. There isn't a "three-strikes, you're out" rule in Burlington Politics, but if there were- you'd both be out. This year Licata pulled less than 33 percent and Deliduka pulled less than 25. Learn to take a hint people.

ReplyDeleteWell I hope none of the people I write about take things I say personally. It's politics mixed with show-business and jabs here and there "sell newspapers" as it were. Just ask Peter Freyne, or Simon Cowell.
ReplyDeleteNot only that, politics really is for the thick-skinned. It's my duty to scrutinize the candidates, the lawmakers and most of all our policies.
That's my fake job and I've got to fake do it. But to all the Burlington Pols I say this- You're all good people and I respect you all.
It is so funny that the person above thinks you are being mean. I read your blog and think finally someone has said openly whatevery one is thinking. I love your humor and writing style.
