He should have resigned two years ago because of the misuse of the 17 million from cash pool.
Funny watching the candidates debate saying how great things are but how awful Kiss is. Anything good that happened, happened in spite of Kiss and anything bad that happened, happened because of Kiss. and then to hear them defend the secret meeting the Dems had regarding the next caucus. Plenty of phonies running for mayor.

Do not rejoice that Bob Kiss has chosen not to run again for mayor of your city. Do not rejoice because now you think the politics will change. Breathe no sigh of relief that now your interests will be better served. Do not believe that his successor will be a better guardian of the people or watcher for the poor and the indigent. Do not look for your world to be a better place to live, a better place for your children to go to school, a better place for you to worship. Do not rejoice because the one thing that you are losing is the one thing that can not be surpassed. You are losing a man of uncommon integrity, of uncommon honor.
I have known Bob Kiss for years and years and worked for him for some of them, and the one thing I never, ever doubted was his selflessness. I watched his actions and believe every action he took was so that someone other than himself could prosper. I listened to his words and recognized his intolerance for isms — racism, sexism, age-ism and all the other practices of inequity between and among peoples. I watched him make some mistakes as your mayor, but never doubted they were errors made in pursuit of justice and equality, made in a journey to make your city, his city a better place.
Do not rejoice that he now chooses to move in another direction. You have lost more than all the political pundits will ever understand. You have lost a man who cared about you.
