Happy New Year. It's two thousand, ten. Or Twenty Ten. Nineteen Ninety was twenty years ago. Today's date is a binary code. 01.01.10. There will be several more dates in binary code in the next two years. Let's see...01.10.10, 01.11.10, 10.01.10, 10.11.10, 01.01.11, and so on.
I wish I had more time to blog.

ReplyDeleteMy main problem with IRV is that it necessitates the transportation of the ballots, which in theory might allow a switch-a-roo, or some such underhanded shenanigans. I mean if you knew the number of votes cast, and you had a sophisticated enough operation- you could switch the election in the car from the polling place to city hall. A recount wouldn't catch that either, since it would be the bogus ballots being recounted.
