The point is that's when I realized about fake news, and how tricky the internet is... and that event with the story about the Cheney shooting changing, informed the creation of my blog's disclaimer, which has proven in nearly 13 years of blogging to be so resilient and comprehensive, I have not had to change it once. It's perfect. It's based on the premise that you're going to believe what I write on my blog because you know me personally and trust me, or you know of me and trust my reputation, more so than because of citations and evidence.
The disclaimer is really a warning about *everything* you see and hear on the internet, Get it? You can thank Dick Cheney and his shotgun for this...
