ReplyDeleteOh you don't know that. He settled the first case out of court and was found not guilty on all counts in the second case. He was certainly an easy and attractive target to accuse of such things, since he loved children, was extremely eccentric and rich. But in my heart I don't believe he had any kind of sex with any children. I think he was just completely asexual altogether. I might someday learn more that changes my mind about that, and that would be another tragedy, but for now my disbelief is suspended.
ReplyDeleteI'm mourning this loss. I obviously didn't know Michael Jackson personally, but he was part of my childhood. My little brother was obsessed with him and my mom bought him the Beat It jacket and the glove. Now my mom's gone, And Michael Jackson is gone too.
We all lived through a time when Michael Jackson was loved by more people than anyone in history excepting those around whom the major religions are based. He's a singular phenomenon who was deeply interwoven in the fabric of my formative years. I love his music and always will.
So thanks for the reminder, but I was already aware of the accusations. Why not go get busy reminding the fifty-five million other blogs talking about Michael Jackson right now?
