About this blog. This blog's anchor topic is Burlington politics. I'm a Capricorn and a very grounded person, so my blog has to about something. Otherwise It would basically just be the Cure-chick in me crying into a poetry journal. (Oh Robert!) Nobody wants to see that. I'd get three hits a day from people in eastern Europe googling "razor blades and ox balls." No good.

So the theme of the blog is the politics of this amazing city, my beloved home town. But it doesn't stop there. I like to jazz-up my political punditry and juxtapose imagery by tossing in a bit of pop-culture spice. For example:

So that's fun. I do a lot of experimentation. Sometimes I shut off the blog and just throw up nothing but a picture of Andy Kaufman. I was doing Open Microphone for a while back in the day. Whatever. I have Burlington related links that always need updating. Everything is done quick and dirty around here. Not a lot of time for this hobby of mine. You can see at the bottoms of my sidebars, for example, I haven't bothered to remove the Latin text from the template to which I migrated from Blogger's "Mean Green Blogging Machine" by "Son of Moto." Hello Moto.

So what is this blog? It's shabby, amateur, political, experimental, pop-cultural, feminist, liberal and independent. It's open-minded, free speaking, local, regional, national and international. I write from the heart and I tell the truth as I see it without fear or favor.

The tag line under the blog title is ever-changing. I have a disclaimer.
