Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

Tarrant Being Sleazy?
Wednesday, February 15, 2006
Of course. Check out this weirdness from the phoney "vermontsenaterace.com" What the hell is going on? (I've saved the comment on my own server, because I refuse to link to a sleazy shill website set up by the right-wing scheme machine. They wouldn't recognize true democracy, even if it shot them in the face.)
- Anonymizing your registration info is pretty common. There are lots of good reasons to do it that aren't particularly nefarious, just use your imagination. That registrar doesn't even advertise anonymity as a service up front, while many others do, so implying that they specialize in it is a stretch.
- A partisan blog? Now where have I seen that before...
- The implication is that the guy set the site up at the behest of his employer, an accusation that is and will probably remain unsubstantiated.
Freyne really needs to get over the fact that Tarrant won't talk to a "journalist" who's obsessed with how much his car costs and take a stab at addressing some real issues. Maybe then he'll finally get his very own "winkipedia" (sic) entry.
There's a difference between a partisan blog and a blog that pretends to be neutral. How can you defend that? And why don't you enable access to your blogger profile?
Do they pretend to be neutral? Like most blogs, they don't have a mission statement per se (other than the fact that the topic at hand is the vermont senate race). The political leanings of pretty much any blog are defined by the content of the blog, and theirs is no different.
In fact the overall content of their blog is far less partisan than many, given the anti-tarrant responses which are posted in response to many of the posts - without need for "administrator approval," I might add.
And what does having my profile on or off have to do with anything? Most of your commenters are anonymous.
Yeah. I know it's a sleazy site, but I couldn't resist checking it out this morning. There's a delicious comment string going on at vermontsenaterace.com. I still won't link to it though. If you think that's hypocritical, please read this site's disclaimer.
I just wanted to point out that my political "spidey-sense" is pretty good. Here is a comment I left on the phoney-baloney vermontsenaterace website two days before Freyne's piece came out in 7D. I'm smarter than the average bear, Boo-Boo!
Haik Bedrosian said, on February 13th, 2006 at 5:16 pm What a joke. The fact that someone with over one hundred million dollars spreads doations accross the political spectrum is meaningless. I’m starting to get the feeling this website is slanted toward Tarrant. Tarrant’s candidacy is a shameful, pathetic joke…A JOKE.
I t h i n k blog moderation m i g h t be a nice intermediate step, somewhere between a dutifully registered herd and anonymous mayhem.
It's sad that the same anonymity that encourages the timid to speak encourages the bullies to brawl.
Given Peter Freyne's talent for exposing identities, it's a wonder anyone posts anywhere. What indeed would our 'free press' do without its leaks and rumor mills? What would Peter do? Or you?

A few problems with Freyne's story:
